JESUS IS
HOPE FOR
HUMANITY
… that’s you by the way.
And it’s the starting point for all of this.
-
Put simply … because you are.
We believe that every single person is made by God to know and be known by him, to be in right relationship with other people around us, and to do meaningful satisfying work.
This means you could be successful, wanting for nothing, nice house, nice life, and still find yourself wondering whats missing.
Maybe you have been asking the question “Is there more than this? Is this all there is?”
Maybe you are finding yourself restless and unfulfilled?
Great news, Jesus is the answer you are looking for, and he wants to have a relationship with you, help restore your relationships to the people around you, and give you deeply fulfilling work to do.
He calls this the abundant life in John 10:10 and that literally means that he wants to give you life that is better than anything else out there.
He invites you to follow him in Matthew 11:28-30 “Are you tired? Worn out? Burned out on religion? Come to me. Get away with me and you’ll recover your life. I’ll show you how to take a real rest. Walk with me and work with me—watch how I do it. Learn the unforced rhythms of grace. I won’t lay anything heavy or ill-fitting on you. Keep company with me and you’ll learn to live freely and lightly.”
If that sounds like the kind of thing you are looking for, we invite you to come and encounter Jesus at Hilltop Church, and learn more about this abundant life he has for you.

Who is Jesus to you?
Is he a historical figure? Is he just a good teacher? Is he a prophet? Is he just a figment of people’s imagination?
C.s. Lewis the writer of the Chronicles of Narnia, once said:
“Christianity, if false, is of no importance, and if true, of infinite importance, the only thing it cannot be is moderately important.”
Jesus was a first century itinerate Jewish Rabbi in Israel. He went around teaching people the good news, healing people, and he died on a cross a criminals death even though he had done nothing wrong. Three days later, he rose from the dead, and appeared to many witnesses. He then told the people following him to go and make more followers.
That’s just the historical Jesus, who when you really investigate it is only scratching the surface of who he is and what he did.
We believe that Jesus is good news for everyone. That he is hope for all humanity. That he is “the more” that you are looking for , and the amazing thing - he want’s to know and be known by you.
We invite you to come and attend a service at Hilltop Church where we are confident you will encounter God.
-
From our lead Pastors: “When we first talked about starting a church in Aurora, you would not believe how many people asked us “Why Aurora?”
The answer is pretty simple - you are here. You and 66,000 other people. We believe that God loves this town because God loves it’s people, and therefore - we love this town, and it’s people.”

We get it - coming to Church for the first time, first time in a while, or checking out a new church can feel daunting. We want you to know, we love having new people come to church and think it’s a big deal! Heres what you can expect to help you feel confident in showing up:
We have started meeting at 123 Murray Drive for our soft launch phase.
Dress code is what ever you feel comfortable in. You’ll see a lot of jeans and t shirts around and maybe a few in more dressy attire. We are very relaxed – what ever you’d wear to go grab coffee in would be perfect for church.
Services are 1 hour and 30 minutes in length.
We love when people make new connections, and would invite you to come a little early for the service to grab a free coffee at 9:30 am right inside the main doors, and meet some of the incredible people who make Hilltop Church what it is.
Have kids? We have an amazing Kids Ministry team at Hilltop Kids who are pumped to be able to engage and encourage your kids from ages 0-12.
If you have kids, you will see the check-in station down the hallway right after coming in the main doors, just chat with out team and they will get your kid(s) checked in!
When you come into the gym where we hold our services, someone will ask if you want to fill out a prayer request. There is no pressure to do so - however we will pray for them in service, and we believe that prayer is effective!
When the service begins we will have a few songs in an act we call worship. Essentially what we are doing here is using music to express our love and thankfulness to God for who he is and what he has done. We keep the lights low to help you feel comfortable engaging by lifting your hands, singing along, or simply observing.
Our pastor will take a passage from the bible to encourage you in a way that we know, will meet you right where you are at in life.
When the service is over there will be a chance to ask for Prayer or to make a commitment to follow Jesus and respond in faith.
If you want to go deeper in your faith we encourage you to attend NEXT STEPS right after the service. We will cover some of the most important aspects of our faith, while also helping you connect and engage more deeply with the community of Hilltop Church. There are four weeks to next steps, and can be taken in any order. They start 5 minutes after the service, and run 15 minutes in length.
We would also encourage you to visit the Hilltop Hub after the service, and pick up a free gift from us to you! Our amazing hosting team would love to help answer any questions you have about Hilltop, and are able to help you get connected on whatever level you would like to.
At any time if you have questions or want to learn more about Hilltop Church please send emails to info@myhilltop.ca

Amazing question.
Jesus wants to be known by you, and one of the ways we can do that is through prayer.
Prayer is talking to God, and sitting in God’s presence. You can pray what is on your mind, or heart, or you can read a prayer like the one below.
Whats important is that you are praying to God - a person.
So address him that way, if you wanted help starting, pray like this.
“Jesus, I want to explore faith in you. I don’t know where to begin, but I want to know if you are real, and if you are, I want to encounter you.”
You could then take some time to just chat with him as you would with a friend, or sit and wait as you would with a friend.
Then we suggest you read the Bible.
We have a whole page dedicated to doing this well (CLICK HERE)
… whatever you do don’t explore alone. Instead be found in community.
This is a core reason why we gather weekly as the church. To be in community, challenging, encouraging, celebrating, and building up each other as we follow Jesus together.
Here’s the cool thing - we are confident that Jesus is the truth (a statement he makes about himself in John 14:6) that if you are looking for truth, you will inevitably end up at Jesus.
So ask questions (contact us), meet with one of our pastors, come attend a service, listen to our podcast.

That’s actually ok.
Here’s the cool thing - we are confident that Jesus is the truth (a statement he makes about himself in John 14:6) that if you are looking for truth, you will inevitably end up at Jesus.
So ask questions (contact us), meet with one of our pastors, come attend a service, listen to our podcast, and best of all - explore the Bible.
The Bible is God's own self revelation to humanity.
What does that mean - he wants to be known, so he told us about himself. The bible reveals who God is and how much we really really need him by showing us the goodness of God, and our insufficiency as humanity.
